Hello, my name is David Gaylord and I’m a UX Designer with nearly 8 years of professional experience designing enterprise and embedded software applications. I currently work at Komatsu, where I design user experience solutions for embedded touchscreen systems used inside heavy mining equipment, including dozers, haul trucks, and shovels at mine sites around the world.

My work includes workflow design, usability testing, prototyping, design systems, and collaborating closely with product managers, developers, and global teams across the United States, Brazil, and Australia. I focus on simplifying complex workflows and creating interfaces that support real-world operational environments.

Prior to Komatsu, I worked at Simpleview (now part of Granicus Destinations), where I helped redesign enterprise CRM software used by destination marketing organizations and tourism agencies. I also have a background in graphic and web design, which gives me a strong foundation in visual communication and interface design.
